DVERI PAX WINERY

The Dvevri Pax (Meaning “Gates to Peace”) Winery located in the Podravje region is a significant winery owned by the Benedictine monks, with great respect for nature while utilizing all the tools of modern winemaking. These Benedictine monks produced wines at the same estate in the 12th century, and the wine estate was first mentioned in a written document back in 1139. This modern winery with 73 hectares is located a few kilometers from the Austrian border producing 80% white wines and 20% red with standout sparkling wines.
