Family Kristančič Winery

The Family Kristančič Winery is one of the pioneers of winemaking in the modern history of the Goriška Brda district, becoming one of the first wineries to be officially established after the independence of Slovenia in 1992. The vineyards are comprised of 28 hectares of vineyards, spread over the Slovenian and Italian sides of the region. The vineyards are dispersed over 11 different micro-locations, giving the wines great variety. The grapes are grown according to the guidelines of Integrated Farming, so herbicides are not used in the vineyard. Instead, Kristančič utilizes attentive, natural growing methods, trusting the power of nature to create wines radiating youth, freshness, and authentic varietal character.
